The Gale Research Suite has been expanded to include a product specifically for middle school (grades 6-8) researchers. It provides the authoritative content that Gale is know for in a variety of formats on one modern, student friendly, and mobile-responsive interface.
Research in Context was created with a user interface to support the developing information and digital literacy skills of the average middle school student. To that end, Gale’s Research in Context is approachable for younger students who are ready for more advanced research, as well, as high school students who are still developing key skills (Gale, 2016).
Learn a new language with Transparent Language Online. This service allows you to pick from one of the hundreds of languages found on the site. Learners explore language activities, challenges, and tests designed to help you master a foreign language. TLO is a free service to residents of Tennessee and is provided by the Tennessee Electronic Library.
InfoTrac Student Edition provides high school students with access to magazines, newspapers, books, and other reference content. The database offers audience-appropriate information on current events, the arts, science, popular culture, health, people, government, history, sports, and more.
Khan Academy is a free online resource for all ages that includes courses for the SATs. There are two main sections: Math and Reading & Writing. Each section of these courses provide exercises and opportunities to test your skills with practice questions.
