All residents of the state of Tennessee are eligible to receive a free library card and account with the Clinton Public Library. We offer Adult cards for patrons age 18 and older, and juvenile cards for patrons of all ages under 18.
For adult cards, you are required to show photo ID with current address proving Tennessee residency, or photo ID with a separate item providing current address(i.e., a piece of mail, an electronic statement, etc.). You will be asked to provide two forms of contact information, as well.
Juvenile cards require a parent/legal guardian to provide their photo ID and address verification, and will be required to provide their contact info as at least one of the two required points of contact. The parent/guardian must be present to fill out the application, but the parent/guardian is not required to have their own library card in our system.
