Food for Fines Program

October 1st through October 31st, we are glad to offer our Food for Fines program to assist patrons with overdue/lost item fines and fees, as well as a chance to give to members of our community who need help!

For the month of October, if a patron donates a non-perishable, unexpired food item through our library, they will receive a credit of $2 toward any existing fines on their account. This is a great way to handle any built up fees, and also give to your community. Items will be accepted at our front desk during regular business hours.

Items will be donated to the Anderson County Community Aid Commission, a local non-profit that has been in operation since 1965. For more ways to help your community, check their website, or ask your library staff for other groups in the area that are always looking for compassionate assistance!
