Read to a Dog!

Beginning September 14th, Clinton Public Library will be partnering with a volunteer from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine’s Human-Animal Bond in Tennessee(HABIT) program to host a weekly ‘Read to a Dog’ program in our facility!

From 4-5PM in our Children’s Section, we will have Archie volunteering their time and bringing Walter, a 7-year old HABIT evaluated and certified Yellow Labrador. This program is a great way to encourage excitement about reading, provide a comfortable environment for bashful readers to practice their skills reading aloud, and give a perfect excuse to socialize.

Feel free to stop by and join us, and if you have any questions about the event, do not hesitate to ask any of our library staff. If you would like more information about HABIT, find information about them by clicking below!
